A total of $15,225.00 was awarded in 2023 thanks to the generosity of the Lorfing Family Memorial, George and Virginia Ulschak Memorial, Laurel Education Foundation, Laurel Rotary Club, Olson Family Memorial, Rutt Family Memorial, Laurel Chamber of Commerce and the Laurel Montana Community Foundation.

The Laurel Montana Community Foundation is tentatively scheduled to award the following scholarships on behalf of these generous benefactors:
 
George and Virginia Ulshak Memorial Scholarship #1 is $2000
George and Virginia Ulshak Memorial Scholarship #2 is $2000
Larry and Nancy Lorfing Memorial Scholarship is $2000
George and Virginia Ulshak Memorial Scholarship #3 is $1000
Laurel Education Foundation Scholarship is 3 $500
Laurel Rotary Club Scholarship is $1225
Olson Family Scholarship is $1000
Don and Colleen Rutt Memorial Scholarship is $1000
Laurel Chamber of Commerce Scholarship  is $500
 
These families and organizations want this money used in a post-secondary extension of schooling.

 

Deadline

The application deadline for 2024 scholarships is January 31, 2024.

Eligibility
  • The eligible recipient of the scholarship needs to be a resident of the greater Laurel area (Using 59044 zip code as mailing address).
  • The recipient of the scholarship can be attending now or enrolling in the fall in a post-secondary education facility or vocational technology facility.
  • The recipient of the $500 Laurel Chamber of Commerce scholarship must be a graduate of Laurel High School (graduating seniors or past graduates).

Finalists will be asked to an interview by the committee for a final decision.
